HOW TO CALCULATE ASHTAVARGHA FOR SHANI?

Method of Calculating the inner strength of Shani in your Horoscope:

There is a popular proverb in Tamil

Don't believe your eyes; they can always cheat you
But believe in your intelligence, it will not let you down.

Using this Proverb, we can calculate the real strength of all Planets. Here, we calculate the strength of Shani by ourselves. The real strength of the Shani is being calculated by its strength in the Ashtavargha chart. We calculate the strength of Shani in the form of "Counts".

The total count of the Shani in the Ashtavargha table is 39. We have 12 Zodiac signs. If we divide the 39 counts by 12 zodiac signs @ 39/12 = 3 counts in all the 12 zodiac signs and we still have 3 counts left. That is, Shani has to be get minimum of 3 counts for each zodiac sign. The remaining 3 counts will be allocated to 3 zodiac signs. You must understand that the Shani has to get a minimum of 3 counts to remain strong. The below mentioned table indicates the possible results occurring due to the various strength of Shani.

Thus the Shani will have 3 counts in 9 zodiac signs and 4 counts in 3 zodiac signs.

9 zodiac signs X 3 counts = 27
3 zodiac signs X 4 counts = 12
                                         -------
Total                                     39
                                        --------

But always Shani attain different strength in every horoscope. Because the Ashtavargha strength of Shani is calculated on the basis of everyone's Rasi Chart or Lagna Kundali in the natal horoscope.

Let us see an example:

Following is the Rasi Chart (Lagna Kundali) that we are going to take it as an example to calculate the Ashtavargha strength.

Date of Birth: 01.10.2000 - 08.30 am - Chennai. We can draw the Rasi Chart for this horoscope based on the above birth time.

Step 1: Remove the Rahu and Kethu from the chart. Now the chart look like this

Step 2: Take the position of Sun as the first house. Here the Sun is placed at Virgo - Kanni Rasi. The Sun gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to the 1, 2, 4, 7, 8, 10 and 11th houses. The Sun's count is given as Orange color Star.

Step 3:  Take the position of Moon as the first house. Here the Moon is placed at Libra - Thula Rasi. The Moon gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 3, 6 and 11 only. The Moon's count is given in Violet color Arrow.

Step 4:  Take the position of Mars as the first house. Here the Mars is placed at Leo - Simha Rasi. The Mars gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 3, 5, 6, 10, 11 and 12 only. The Mars's count is given in Red color Straight Line.

Step 5:  Take the position of Budhan as the first house. Here the Budhan is placed at Libra - Thula Rasi. The Budhan gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 6, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12 only. The Budhan's count is given in Green color square.

Step 6:  Take the position of Guru as the first house. Here the Guru is placed at Taurus - Rishaba Rasi. The Guru gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 5, 6, 11 and 12 only. The Guru's count is given in Yellow color triangle.

Step 7:  Take the position of Sukra as the first house. Here the Sukra is placed at Libra - Thula Rasi. The Sukra gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 6, 11 and 12 only. The Guru's count is given in Blur color Diamond.

Step 8:  Take the position of Shani as the first house. Here the Shani is placed at Taurus - Rishaba Rasi. The Shani gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 3, 5, 6, and 11 only. The Shani's count is given in Black color Circle.

Step 9:  Take the position of Lagna as the first house. Here the lagna is placed at Libra - Thula Rasi. The Lagna gives strength (count) to Shani from its position to 1, 3, 4, 6, 10 and 11 only. The Lagna's count is given in Pink color Hautin.

Now we make the calculations: Total the counts in each Zodiac Sign. Now we get the results.

Thus the Shani gets strength as per the details given below:

Results: Though the Shani is the benefice planet for this Thula Lagna natives, it is getting absolute "0" strength for the Kumbha Rasi. Thus looking at the Lagna chart and coming to the conclusion based on the position of the planets can proves to be wrong and sometimes could turn dangerous too.

In the chart that is given as example, the natives belongs to Thula Rasi and Thula Rasi. The Shani becomes a beneficial planet both for the Thula Lagna & Thula Rasi natives. Here the Shani would be unable to deliver anything good to the natives due to its poor strength in the Kumbha Rasi.
